La classe più combattuta è la 3A: prototipi tubolari 1600 c.c. 4WD. Ecco la cronaca delle gare.

The most competitive class is the 3A where there are 1600 c.c. tubular 4WD prototipes.

Partenza tutti in gruppo e staccatone al limite alla prima curva. Dal polverone esce Fejfar che con il suo motore VW 1600 tiene dietro a fatica l’arrembante tedesco Engel che ha una vettura magari non bellissima ma con una tenuta di curva eccezionale e molto maneggevole. Al solito tornantino si incrociano le traiettorie ma il ceco non molla un metro e il tedesco deve accodarsi. Ritmi vertiginosi molto vicini ai 40 secondi al giro. Segue il francese Vincendeau.

At the start great first corner for Fejfar and his VW 1600 powered car followed by the incoming german Engel who has maybe not got the most pretty car but it is certainly very efficient. At the famous 4th corner they overcross trajectories easily but the german driver can not pass. Every lap is completed in 41 second at least. It looks like they are in practice. Vincendeau follows.

Tenta ancora il tutto per tutto alla prima staccata e al tornantino per due giri senza tregua dando molto filo da torcere all’avversario che risponde senza timore;  come tutti i bei duelli all’ultimo giro Engel sbaglia all’ultima curva e viene sfilato facilmente. Oramai disunito anche Turek, che era risalito al terzo posto, lo infila dopo una bella battaglia all’ultimissimo giro. I due addirittura arrivano dritti alla prima curva dopo aver superato il traguardo. Questa volta è l’inno tedesco a suonare.

And, eventually, two more exiting laps with this exiting duel. At the last but one lap Engel makes a mistake and leaves first position. He seems to be confused and  Turek overtakes Engel who reaches only third position. This time the german hymn is played. .
